This is what I think so far.It looks like an M75 but has a stop-tail looks like an M77 but doesn't have a "bolt-on" neck (two-tone metal hardware?). I am overwhelmed by the conflicting information. I did some research on the ole' internet and it seems to be an M75 or an M77. I cleaned her up and can't stop playing with her (that didn't come out right). Chimey highs without being brittle, rich defined mids and clear low's, not muddy or "thumpy". They are HB's for sure but really have a unique and beautiful tone. The quality is down right outstanding, plays like a dream, workmanship is excellent and I love, love, love the way the Gold Tone pups sound. I came across this in a pawn shop and the music guy turned me on to it. So I had to buy something.no really, had too! I got an unexpected bonus at work so.had too.
